Do not connect the USB cable until prompted to do so. You can also edit images, or attach images to e-mail using this application software. Be sure to update the drivers if available. Updater are also found from the link provided. Restart the computer again once the whole installation process is completed and turn on your firewall. Do not connect your printer unless prompted to do so.
The installation will be cancelled". I went through this exercise twice. I then restart pc, connect printer, go to devices and printers, add a new printer, print a test page and it all seems to work. I am now at the point where I am considering giving free flying lessons to this said printer.
I find this really frustrating that one has to revert to all this back-and-forth mailing in this era of "plug-and-play". I include their last reply to me: "Thank you for contacting Canon Australia. We have tested this printer with no issues on Windows 7 , this error seems to be a windows Registry error. I suggest for you to remove the printer driver and contact Microsoft to go through the Registry for errors. Please Help. This thread is locked. Akinonris Specify the file type, file name and destination folder. Buy printers and ink on the Official Canon Store. Display the destination folder. This works fine for me. Image capture software works fine — just open it up when the printer is connected or it may open by itself. The Save dialog box allows you to specify advanced settings for saving images to a computer.
